Just installed Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge

Post by Gannon » Thu Dec 06, 2007 6:08 pm

I bought a Air Fuel ratio Gauge off eBay last week and i installed it this arvo.

Image

Red wire went to pin 19 (Ignition Power)
Grey wire went to pin 48 (O2 sensor)
Black wire went to ground

Easy as.

I have a new O2 sensor and when cruising, the leds sweep back and fords (from lean to rich) quicker than the eye can see. So obviously our ecus arent as slow as we thought.

The moment i put my foot down, it stops sweeping and only lights 1 or 2 leds. It gives you a really good idea of when the engine is in closed loop / open loop mode.

The only thing is that as i accelerate at WOT, as the engine nears 4k rpm, its leaning out. I will have to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and check my fuel pressures.

While im here, i'll show off my boost gauge that is recessed into the dash surround

dunno, ive still got it

But if its leaning out, then pinging, then retarding timing, that may be the cause of it

Time to break out the fuel pressure gauge

Both your boost gauge and your fuel ratio gauge is the exact same as mine.
