Where for art thou EJ22 Donk, 'box 'n' bits

Post by 4xsama » Sat Jul 14, 2007 9:15 pm

Gent's,

Any hot tips on where to look for gear for an EJ conversion into my beloved Brumby.

I'm keeping and eye on Quokka, RS Forum, OzLiberty, Pickles and will check Sunday paper, as well as the Ausubi pages of course.

What other auctions are there?

Also, is a dual range really necessary?

I would like to buy privately (no traders so no front cut importers etc)

By the by, how was todays trip to Lancelin? Sounded like it would be fun

Cheers.

yes u want dual range, but heck i dont use it tooo often with the ej22(it simply isnt needed) but at times you will need it. Are you just gonna be using an adapter plate and your old gearbox? or are u going full awd?

Full AWD.

I'll put bigger wheels on (14-15's) but not a lift kit. I don't want a vehicle thay rolls too much (see post on drivetrain conversions). I still want to be able to punt it through corners. I know it will never be a rex, but I'm not after a serious 4x4 either. The odd trip to the beach would be about it.
