Post by Gannon » Tue May 29, 2007 6:12 pm

I connected the fuel pump this arvo and cranked the engine, whoo hoo, less than 3 seconds of cranking and it went!!!

Im so excited that im shaking.

There is a little bit of lifter tick (damn i knew i shoulda put new ones in) but that might clear up.

just gotta tidy up the engine bay and all shal be sweet, just gotta join my old exhaust to the turbo downpipe.

Im still shaking!!!!

If your lifter tick doesn't go away, replace the oil pump gasket (if you are really lucky I'll send you mine :P) and Cameron had instructions on his website on how to service the lifters, if it is still about???

Please watch before posting!

Nice work. Stop it! Your all making me have thoughts about a turbo, and i only just got my MPFI rebuilt about 3 months ago!

Good work though, i'd love to see one of these out and about, feel the extra power, then get out and line them up at the lights (or drag strip as demonstrated by the WA guys) and loose ;)

Good news Jono, the lifter tick is gone!

I had a little problem,... the little water hose that supplies water to the throttle body split, i was contemplating replacing it when i had the manifold off, oh well its fixed now.

I have a little problem on idle, it idles fine, but randomly it started to die and then pick back up again. this was only after it warmed up fully.

Im guessing that thing on top of the thermostat, the IAC.

The idle issue will more than likely be the IAC as you have already concluded make sure its clean and has no oil on it (the inner workings) also make sure you have ignition power to it when running
