LSD diff identity

Post by sven » Sun May 13, 2007 2:28 pm

Bit of a slowby Q, but from appearence, what are the identifying features of a LSD?

Am further perplexed by the diff I've just pulled from the wreck - has 'LS int' written in white texta on the top, but certaintly was a LSD??

if you have an open diff and a 'supposed' lsd, pick each one up, the lsd will be a fair bit heavier!

previously
L-series wagon, LSD, EJ20turbo, 29in tyres, 'wanky wagon'
2000 gen3 outback, lifted, otherwise stock.

turn one of the output stubs. if its an open diff, the opposite stub will spin in the opposite direction. If its an LSD they will spin in the same direction
