I've got KYB struts and King Springs on the front of my Brumby which in my opinion gives too harsh a ride. On the rare times when I reach 100km/hr along a highway the ride quality this combo gives is okay, however at slow speeds when 4WDing or puttering along a potholed road my Brumby's ride is uncomfortable. It bounces over obstacles and bangs hard on potholes.

I'm planning to swap my alloy bullbar for a steel tube bar. With this additional weight on the front end, the suspension might settle down and become more comfortable.

Gabriel shock absorbers are useless. They will fail very quickly.
Gabriel shocks are manufactured by COFAB who also make ACdelco shocks & a few people here have tried them & the have failed with in a few Kms.

Spend the bit extra & buy KYB or Genuine if you want height adjustable.

Cant say i have had an issue with the Gabriel brand but they are only fitted to my Dads RX which is a road car and driven by an older person who only plays traffic light drags every now and then. That said for an offroad car i generally like a soft front end and firm rear. Soft in the front gives more available contact with the ground and more feel on the and off road. the from rear end is only carrying the camping gear and the like so it feels better that way.

I have KYBs on my RX as it is played harder than Dads

I also prefer my rides to have a soft front end and a firm rear. :D
