car dies at high rpm

Post by Alex » Sun Feb 18, 2007 10:42 am

hi all,

im having afew issues with my carby l-series wagon

if i try and take off, it just stalls. If i boot it up to 3500rpm it does it very sluggish, and then stops and just stalls. it idles fine.

I have checked the coil, plugs, dizzy, leads, vacuum leaks, (visual carby check) and they all seem fine. I'm about to check the fuel filter(ie get a new one)

does anyone have any ideas? im thinking it must be fuel or electrical related.

thanks

Sounds fuel related to me. Check the rubber fuel hoses too.
