Lucky with RBT

Post by subanator » Mon Nov 27, 2006 1:54 am

The other night had to stop for a random RBT on the way home from work driving the lifted MY. I was ok with the blow through as hadnt been drinking anyway. Next thing is the copper starts to eye the car over (hello, hello) first looking at the rego sticker, then eyes the rest of the car over and informs me that the window tint has started to bubble, and would require changing as it obstructs vision.......and that it!:D

I was sure he would say something about it being lifted, 14" rims with 27" tyres and no flares, not to mention mods under the bonnet, I call that lucky or a fair cop, or a lazy one.
'03 Forester X, stock standard for now.

'89 EA82T Touring Wagon, 5-speed D/R, 14" alloy wheels, bullbar. (Past ride)

'81 MY wagon, 3" lift, 5-speed D/R, Weber, 14x27" tyres. (Past ride)

i can share that experience. i have been pulled over many times for random breath tests and what not, and as the WA boys no,,,,my car is FAR from perfect and even with 4 completely balt tyres, 3" lift, exhaust leaks, rear rego could not be seen because of wheel carrier as well as a totally oil covered engine and smokey engine..they never once told me to fix or anything...now i call that lucky as well....:D
