The one thing everyone hates is to be out in the middle of no were with some major bog or car related breakdown.
I just wanted to get a thread going were people can list or throw in ideas of what recovery techniques or tools they take out. Also not forgetting spare parts..

Spares : 2 x spare rear CV, 1 x spare front CV, 2 x front strut-spring, 2 x stubb axle, various hoses and bolts of random sizes, radius rod, 2 x spare tyres, water, coolant, oils ( both engine and gearbox ), and other random stuff. Mind you it's never anything I take spares for that actually breaks 

'91 brumby, EJ-Turbo with VOSChip, 2" lift, 15" superlites, Dual Range AWD.
'93 Subaru Legacy, 2.2 auto, automatic seatbelts, LHD.

If it was an MY i would say strut tops and spring compressors... EFI cars i suggest taking a spare EFI pump. a Jerry can with fuel is a good idea. And a DVD player and TV screen for if u get stuck overnight. LOL

haha yes, my old car which I never bothered actually putting ANY of the rear bumper fasteners back in
was always just held in by the little clips in the centre

Where do you guys go that you need to carry a spare front strut?
I've bent and broken a few front struts, busted a few rubber strut tops, smashed the odd DOJ, cracked a front hub/bearing carrier and even snapped the shaft on a rear coilover shock when racing but with all those I could still drive home.
