175.70-13 std issue 576mm so gives a range from 551 to 591mm ?? for permitted sizes ?

should also add 205.50-15 when I get back to the info found them on rear of my Vortex wreck
Rego usually allows up to 15mm greater, or 25mm lesser for passenger cars with wheels this size. Wonder if the more lenient rules for 4WD allows up to 50mm more ?
Can see how 195.50.15s are a great match for the original tiny tyres kep authorities happy once things splained to 'em

Tyre sizes
Fuji fan have a look at this website http://www.1010tires.com and under tyre size calculator. Majordad
175 * 0.65 / 25.4 * 2 + 14 = OD in inches, * 25.4 = OD in mm

This is what I am currently running, and I honestly can't think of a better wheel setup for on-road MY's as 15" wheels are common as mud and still cheap - 50 profile isn't that common on 15's but gives decent handling without a harsh ride. The problem with stepping up to 16's is it becomes harder to find narrow rims, so it becomes 205 (borderline for a 7" rim, stretched on an 8" rim) or 215, which means instead of dropping to 45 profile it needs to be 215/40R16 which is quite expensive and also not at all common (from memory Bridgestone don't do anything at all in this size, and only a handful of other companies support it).
