Food, Glorious Food ...
I'd take some Dry foods that don't need refrigeration :
- Potatoes / Flour
- Rice / Noodles
- Biscuits / Crackers
- Dried fruit ( apricot / pears etc ... )
- Beef Jerky / chewy stuff
+ Some wet stuff :
- Water ( you can't ever take enough )
- Long life milk
- Tin can meals
- Alcohol
Also handy are the ration packs you can get from defence ( which despite appearance, are quite tasty ) among other essentials ...
- Hmmm ... Chocolate ...
& If you do have access to a portable fridge / freezer :
- Meat
- Veggies
- Ice-cream
Might come back to this as I rember what else ...
Cheers, Bantum ...

I've never been away for more than about 5 days at a time, but we always used to just have tinned stews, stroganoff, rice meals, pasta sauce pouches. And for dessert a tin of rice cream heated up with some tinned fruit thrown in is always a winner Breakfast was toast and cereals and long life milk, for lunches we usually took plenty of bread, metwurst, some sturdy cheese, a cucumber, punnet of cherry tomatoes and of course a big bag of chips.
What you take also depends alot on where you are going and if re-supplies are easily available or are you going into the middle of nowhere for 2 weeks straight. In that case WATER! MRE's as Bantum suggests, dried fruit, nuts (scroggin ) 2 minute noodle type stuff, dehydrated etc etc.
And if you have one, don't forget to take the camping fridge!. I remember after putting up a big tent in the hot sun, sitting down with an ice cold fizzy drink seemed like an incredible luxury But then that was years ago when camping fridges weren't an every day necessity. And that time it was summer not winter like it is now.
