subas down the quarter mile
subas down the quarter mile
has anyone got any acceleration times for the various engines?
it would be interesting to see the factory differences in 0-100km/h and down the quarter-mile.
anyone been to the drags and had a go there in a suba? howd u go?

No way Muddy!
Standard MY coupe with one driver and quarter of a tank of fuel - 18.0 @ 111kmh! Lift and tyres kill a Subaru's acceleration!
What options are you weighing up Subi? Remember that ultimately the dragstrip serves two purposes: one is entertainment and the other is a real-world dyno. Everything else is just a tape measure and trousers affair.
The other thing too, why are you asking for the engine acceleration data? It depends on the vehicle and drivetrain just as much as the donk. Engine dynos measure engine horsepower, drag strips measure vehicle acceleration.
I've been to the drags quite a few times, but never in anything standard (except my EA81 coupe and wagon - for laughs!). I will be going down there some time this year in my wagon, hoping to smash its previous ET of 18.9@109kmh! Expecting a high 13 / low 14 from it!

My donor sedan (93 WRX EJ20T, JDM box & gears in 87 RX turbo) came with a timeslip of 13.6s.
It'll be slower in the wagon with A/C, cruise + other gear & OZ spec ratios, but I will be testing it once its finished.
For a point of reference, my 96 2.0L turbo diesel Caldina does 18.3s quarters
