Front Strut "TOP" Seat.

Post by Gazza01 » Fri Nov 14, 2014 10:22 am

I have acquired some parts off the Front Strut of a Brumby, and I notice that the top Seat on the strut has a indentation in the top side where the end of the spring locked in . Has anyone had any dealing with the Top seat of front Strut of a Brumby. Could be that the Seat is done for. Or can it be starightened out if that is possible. Photo attached.

Umm, Nope - it doesn't need to be flattened, as it's supposed to be like that ... :p

P.S - You really should get hold of a manual, as it will help with any other queries on how to put your car back together ... ;)

I had mine apart not long ago, that looks right to me. That shape fits over the top of the spring so it can't turn.

Looks factory to me and yeah it's the to seat the last coil of the spring correctly.

I too would recommend downloading a WSM off the main page. This has lots of info in them but I too sometimes like asking others opinions on what they reckon.
