VIN differences JF1 and JF2 EA82 era

JF is first two codes, the third character when it is a 1 indicates passenger vehicle. When the thir character is a 2 indicates multi-purpose.

FWD NA Vortex gets JF1 , FWD Turbo gets JF2, AWD turbo Vortex also JF2
My 86MY GLTA being turbo 4WD sedan was also JF2.

Looks like a classification goes from passenger vehicle to multipurpose because of the turbo ??
Wondering if it is same with newer EJ variations ?
