95 deg max economy, 75 deg max power

just reading a blurb for Davies Craig electronic water pump controller stating 95 degrees engine water temp give maximum economy , and 75 deg gives maximum power

so, if you ever wondered...

That sounds about right, the warmer the engine the better the economy. It is the reason why engine temperature in late model engines is kept so high

I reckon that's a bit rash making a blanket statement like that.
Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry :cool:

Well yeah it can be but from the engines i have played with over the years i have found that if they run with a high temp they are more economical than the engines i have run that have had a lower running temp, and they went better too
