Front gaurds

Am I right in saying that the earlier single headlight front guards are the same as the twin headlight models? I only ask as I am chasing some and may have a lead to a pair from a single headlight model wagon for my brumby.

If we're talking about the Guard only - Pretty sure that it will fit - only thing to watch is the side marker & trims might be slightly different ...

Cheers Bantum. Yeah just wanted to know if the gaurd sizes are all the same for the MYs. Maybe that's a better way of saying it. All good about the trim, I won't be having any.

I just thought there may be a slight chance that the headlight surrounds were a different size between the two models which would make the notch out on the gaurd for the lights be different.

I think you'll find that the single head light guard is different at the light surround compared to the dual head light guard.

That's always been my impression anyway - I've always stuck with dual head light guards with dual head light setups and vice versa...

Nope - they're all the same : ( except for side marker light in AUS )

As long as when you say "earlier" you are talking just the MY series? if yes then the answer is yes. All the front guards from the 79 to 84 wagons, sedans, coupes and hatches and Brumby from 82 to 92 are the same. Some import ones may have no side indicator and/or no antenna hole. Also some JDM ones have holes on the top of the guard to house the front mirrors.
