CV joint circlip

Post by Nobby » Sun Aug 11, 2013 4:58 pm

Hi all I am doing the outer boots on my Sons 91 fwd Liberty and I have gotten the joint apart and was wondering whether to re-use the circlip or not?
It came apart really nicely and it looks in good nick.

Cheers.

If you mean the circlip that holds the inner CV race on the shaft, then yes it is used again.

Unless of course you have a replacement :)

I'm with Toonga, if you mean the circlip that holds the inner cv race in place.

Provided it was not damaged when you took it out, it should be ok to re-use it.
