Not to flog a dead horse... But...

I have a beige Brumby that has no paint-code stickers on it too.

Does anyone have any information on paint codes for these vehicles, photos of their cars paint-code sticker or information if you have a similar coloured Brumby?

I really do want to touch up all over this wonderful vehicle.

Are car-body spray places able to scan or detect a colour and then re-mix and replicate it identically matching the current paint job?

Being a DD a full respray is impossible, and unnecessary, and I love this colour.

Cheers,

Auto barn or any decent parts joint (not to be compared to auto barn!) should be able to get something like this sorted for you. A computer can scan and produce the same colour as your vehicle these days. Typically you take the fuel filler cap in to be scanned.

Last time I had a quote for a can of white brumby spray paint it was $35 a can!!

I guess it's worth it if you really need it. Otherwise it could be worth hitting up FROG for the paint code of your brumby from the VIN and find out if there's a "touch up marker" available from Subaru - and if there's not you might be able to find one that's very close to what you've got at the very least.

Cheers

Cheers for all of that.

Wow didn't know it could be done, I was just hoping!

I've been meaning to hit up FROG for some parts, I suppose this means I better get on, make a proper list and do it!

If you're still after the paint 6076, I can +1 and confirm this. Got a can mixed from Autobarn a couple of days ago for $35. That's the going rate regardless of colour, its a standard mixing/canning fee.

If you have the code (I did) it makes it easier but they said they would be able to do it without the codes :)

Cheers,
Tom.

This is just more good news. You gave me your paint code number too, did you end up re-checking it? I'll have to swing in and get one soon. Have a spray gun sitting here waiting for use! x)

I posted this elsewhere on the forum:

I've found a paint-like polyurethane product called RaptorLiner (like RhinoLiner, but home applicable) that can be tinted to paint codes!

Asking here also, if anyone else has experience with RaptorLiner, or other Polyurethane liners?

Again, thanking T.Farm.Brumby for confirming my paint code to be: 748 "Maple Beige".

I found this list also containing a hellova lot of paint codes for Subis.
www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au

And this one has them too, but with pictures of the colour, which is always a reassuring confirmation.

Wouldn't happen to know which red they used on my 89 brumby would you? I could narrow it down to 2, but with 30 years of weather damage.... It could be either.
