as long as you dont drop the clutch and do hard launches it will last for eva. if ya go racing it etc they tend to break. otherwise there a bloody horn car. and yours has all the good gear in it to so it shouldnt let ya down.

With that much power I wouldn't bother with the twin synchro if yours fails, I'd go the whole hog and get a straight cut gearset. Still synchromesh, not dog gears. The twin synchro won't give much if any longer life behind that motor.

got it for 24k. Was in the auto trader for $29000 and on ebay for $27500. i msg'd them and said i have 23500 to spend and asked what was the best price they could do... to which they said 25, and i said nah too much...

couple of days later they called me and said they could do 24....

after that, they were getting about 10 calls a day, some people were offering them around 27k in cash and the night before i picked it up someone offered them 29 cash and they also wanted to pay me 1k so they could get it.

fortunately, they held their word (i hadnt even given them a deposit or seen the car) and held it for me... so i picked up a pretty good bargain...

it also came with all the old stereo gear... which is a boss 1000w amp, pioneer 6 stacker, pioneer deck, focal splits and crossovers etc and some other random bits

i may have already had a go with an EL xr8 and a mitsubishi GTO, and i may have smoked em both... im going to go over the intercooler piping this wknd coz in my eyes the welds are dodgy and ill be looking for leaks. But when the plex is open, i think ill be up for it... i got 3 other mates that would be keen to come in their cars too.

B E A U tiful ............... I love it :D

Nothing like having a modified L series for playing in the dirt, and a new high tech toy for the road.

We looked at a new WRX (and a few second hand ones) before we decided on the XT Forester. When they put the same 2.5l turbo from the new WRX in the Forester, that clinched it for us.

Not quite as many kw as yours, but 170 for the wife's car to take the kids to daycare / school and do the shopping - then for me to play with on weekends - will do us just fine .... for now

I think yours looks great - the stripes are fine - it adds to the individuality and breaks it up a bit.

With all these great cars in WA, I'll have to look you guys up when we visit. We plan to get to Perth sometime in the next 18 months, as one of my best mates lives there now.
Willie.
