Ah ok. I knew about the VDC Off button, and the FWD fuse on MPT models, but had never heard of the VDC Off fuse.

wombataaron wrote:Yeh i have VDC, its a pain if you start spinning wheels it hits the brakes for you, under the bonnet in the fuse box there is a fuse with no fuse in it marked VDC OFF FWD, putting a fuse in it turns VDC off, the revision models have a switch on the dash to turn it off:(
In that case you may be able to have a switch retro-fitted & still be legal/ insurance compliant...

Noticed in the latest Repco catalogue they had a uhf and antenna combo special going $199 for the pair, i thought that sounds alright so i went and bought one yesterday and installed it using this writeup:

Only took about an hour or so, works a treat i asked for a radio check yesterday and ended up helping the guy find the local shopping centre:P

Yeah its got 80 channels, yeah turns out the VDC has YAW and G-sensors in the centre console somewhere and when you lift the car it throws the geometry of the car out by a little bit and the car thinks its malfunctioning so the system turns off, a simple wheel alignment fixed it:P

Looking very nice Aaron ;) I'd love a 05 GT Foz in that colour scheme

My friend has the same rooftop tent on his Gen3 Outback and loves it too. I have the full sided one, just a bit too big for the Subie :(

I hope you find what you're looking for and don't have that feeling of regret about letting your subi go...

Have you weighted up the cost of running a large 4x4 - fuel, parts, accessories (lift etc), servicing?

Cheers
