removing brumby clutch cable?

Hi. Any tips for removing the clutch cable. I am stuck getting the 'clevis pin' out behind the pedal.

pull the clip off (not sure of the proper name)

then squeeze the 2 plastic tabs in on the end of it and slide it through (whilst still holding the plastic tabs so the fit through the hole)
