Brumby Suspension Options

Post by Brumby Kid » Mon Oct 03, 2011 7:20 pm

Ok so im planning to get a 2" lift within the near future. BUT, im wondering what can i do to improve my suspension on top of this. More height, better off road etc.
This is what i THINK I have at the moment. (Standard)

Front

2 bolt struts, and standard springs

Image

Back

Trailing arms, without the springs!!!!

Gas struts

And the Moustache Bar

Am i correct? Please correct me if i am
So I would like your thoughts on what I can do, and what i should use.
Suspension is complicated for me:rolleyes:

Cheers Cam

2" body lift and thats it or you can go 2" body with taller springs (makes your suspension stiffer good on road not the best off road tho ) you also by the looks of it have adjustable it isnt adjustable by much but yea

THANKS, was waiting for someone to notice. Yeah it was backfiring, and wasn't gonna buy a new exhaust (yet!). I probably shouldn't tell people my top secret method but oh well.
Step 1. Fill holes with muffler putty.
Step 2. cover with a coke can.
Step 3. Use zip ties to hold the can in place.
Step 4. Run for 20 minutes to dry the putty.
Worked perfectly, cost me $10, and a can of coke, Got to drink the coke too!

So no pipe, no muffler, or cat converter?
Illegal but would have been awsome!
BTW in the first 2 feet or so of the exhaust, there is usually flames right?

you,ll have to run 15 inch rims for those tyres but im sure a set of light truck tyres say 195,s will do the job for beach and gravel on 14 inch rims especially if your on a budget

205 is the width 75 is a height determined by a formula and 15 is the rim size you would need a 14 as that is your rim size

what he said the 75 is the percentage of the width that is the hieght... i just confused myself... ok for instance 205/75R15 deciphired is 205= width in mm 75 is the hieght meaning %75 of 205mm and R15 is the radius of the rim so its 15inches from centre... im pretty sure thats what it all meant idk ill find the paragraph

have you pulled the front and rear shocks out? chances are they are flogged out.

replace the fronts and rears and you will notice the difference.

i'm running new fronts, suzuki Jiminy rear shocks, and 2" lift blocks and i fit 27" muddies on the 14" sunnies
