Needed good Subaru mechanic in Bundy

Post by syro75 » Mon Mar 17, 2008 6:14 pm

Help, I have just bought a 91 L series auto wagon with 160 000km on the clock. My problem is finding a mechanic. I took it to my usual guy who fixes my Holden fine but show him the Suby he is dumb struck and just gives me a blank look and said I hope you got it free because this is not going to be cheep! For goodness sakes! All i wanted was a safety cert, auto choke adjustment, front brakes and replace the auto transmission with a manual. The car runs and handles like a dream. The only major is the transmission slips in reverse.
Please suggest a good mechanic in the Bundaberg reigon.

I should have remembered from owning a Brumby 12 years ago that you can't take a Subaru to any monkey in overalls, it takes a special person to make my suby purr.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Avondale motors did a good job

Post by syro75 » Sat Apr 19, 2008 12:06 pm

John at Avondale Motors (RACQ) did a great job of changing my 92 GL Wagon from auto to manual. The job took a few weeks but the result was worth the wait and the price was right. You will get him on 07 41561363. You will find him 30km out of Bundy on Rosedale Road behind Jo's Roadhouse.

Tell him Dave sent you!
