I think the welded rear diff was probably the end of the box, Guy was just having a bit of fun as it was just about unstoppable that day.

Yeah Guyph, I think a stock standard clutch will be perfectly fine for you.
It's a stock motor so a stock clutch should suit. What's more it's in a lighter car than standard. You are planning to have 1.5 low range. There should be no reason at all you couldn't get 100k+ mileage out of a new clutch given proper driving style.
