I dont want a performance gain....... I said it would be nice but I know it wont happen. Same as winning the lotto, would be nice but isnt going to happen. This is purely to replace my rusty old stock set & at the same time having it mate up to a 2" mid pipe.

I dont see how just dropping the car off for 3 hours is more stuffing around then finding a stock set or trusting that the set is ok, couriering it down then dropping it off with the car to be modded & fitted????

Do I seriously need to repeat myself 50 times? I dont care what your opinion is on me getting custom or an aftermarket set... I just wanted to know if any other companies make them as Lukey dont any more.

Can we close this thread already? I've got my answer & dont really feel like explaining myself again.
Cheers,
Andrew

might be easier to knock up some hectik headers like a top fueller, 2 lenghts of pipe with only a 180 bend at the bottom of each. plus flanges welded on, straight up out through the bonnet OMG that would be amazing!!!!

wait i might do that on my vortex :)

The RX headers can still be bought off the shelf.

Just offering a another option that was not mentioned before is all.

Make of it what you will.

Know of any other manufacturers?

I got quoted $220 to make some from scratch, stock diameter coming off the engine into a collector & then plan to go 2" from there with no cat. Ideally would like to buy the whole system & install myself.

I dont want performance gain, would be nice but Im well aware this is not a performance engine.
What got everyone on to the performance gain is the fact that you first inquired about an aftermarket product, this usually means that the original design for an exhaust is not as good as it can be and someone has made a better unit usually resulting in better performance.

Sometimes it's about reading between the lines for other references - similar to how movies/music/thesis's can all reference others and have meanings that are not necessarily produced point blank.

And about the cost and postage of the item - how were we to know you couldn't find a stock replacement unit?? You didn't share this piece of info with us in the first place so how were we to know?? Thanks for flaming us on that one...

No worries. I know what to do next time you've got something to ask...
