EA81 dipstick...

Post by theconcierge » Sun May 29, 2011 11:23 am

does it have any markings? Mine doesn't seem to have any? I was just about to change the oil for the first time ( 4L I am told ) but just noticed there is no markings..... Is this correct?

If not, I will see if I can get a replacement and change the oil next weekend

cheers guys

it should have a high mark and the letter H and a low mark and the letter L if not marks then a hole for low and a hole for high 4.5 litres is good as you need to fill the oil filter

from gregorys lubrication and maintenance section 2 page 19 (in mine)

Sorry guys - I seriously must need glasses! I found the markings after I checked it about a hundred times!

Sorry for the wasted post

Good news is that I completed my first oil change on a car.. I feel somewhat more manly today...
