on buying the wife a 04 forester that she wanted we have noticed how high the front of the seat sits up. it has a height adjuster but it doesnt flatten out the seat. has anybody noticed this and /or how to fix it as i find the car really goes well but im looking at selling it if i cant fix this problem

While I personally have no solution to this, I can say how damn uncomfortable seats like that are. Legs go to sleep after a while.

Electric or manual adjustment? Are you sure you haven't overlooked a control?

Might be able to take it to a trimmer and get the seat reshaped.

I sat in a new Foz about this time, when I could not afford one (nothin's changed) felt uncomfortable with the seat and its adjustment, got back in my Brum with tatty thirty year old Stratos and drove away comfortable. Can see why others fit EJ powerplants to old comfys
