WOW! Does that scream "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!" to anyone else? I hope you've got "king spring yellow" on that paul, otherwise it might look out of place under an L with raised kingsRSR 555 wrote:Here you go Dann Just to tease you
Good looking kit though!
I'm guessing the 2 inch blocks are on the gearbox crossmember/radius rod plate. I've got this setup on Ruby Scoo. I reckon I need to extend the radius rods - amount unknown - to push the front wheels forward back to their original position or a little further. This will help keep the wheel away from the fire wall when turning. Other suspension reasons for this have not been thought of so no answers there about that one...RSR 555 wrote:Well we started fitting it yesterday (first 3" kit I've ever done) and we just finished today and went for a test drive.. The lift looks huge and drives great ( other than the front wheel bearings ) so I was quite surprised to see the effect of the combination of 3" and 2" blocks.. it really worked well. Still need to do some more R&R but overall I'm pleased...

Yeah the 2" are on the radius rod bracket and the rear K frame.. all to try and keep the ground clearance under the car to a max. Alex, Dave and Matt have given me some good ideas to modify on the MK2 kit and I might even look into the radius rod lengthening but I ready didn't get any feel like it was back too far? Need to check with Dann after he's been a bit of 4WDing

There should be plenty of really old threads discussing radius rod lengthening in detail too. Some people have had success with creating adjustable ones with threaded rod, others have tips on what radius rods to pinch from what donor cars (a ford of some sort I think) which are the appropriate length longer.

Good to see its finally on the car mate:) Now we can go back and do some more dammage at the powerlines:p
Paul is the man with all those things, specially with installing liftkits. Haha, i know, i had a bad experience when trying to install a lift kit on my mate liberty, remmeber Paul? hahahahah.
Anyway i'll definately be up for some more 4x4 when i get back, and if we can fix the brumby quickly, pretty sure my bro would also be keen:)
