Freighting wheels? Had any experience with this?

Post by Phizinza » Fri Apr 21, 2006 12:27 pm

I am looking at getting some wheels (with tyres on them) from a town in Victoria. Just wondering if any one has done such a thing and what they recommend in the way of a company to do it. BTW I am in SA. The wheels are 14's with light truck tyres so they will weight in at 5 to 7kg each (just a guesstimate) I figured out the size of them in centimeters and AusPost said it broke there girth size, so I can't use them. Basicly I want cheapness, not speed. I can wait.

Cheers for the help.

I have used Toll to get some wheels from Perth. Pretty good price and direct to my door.

Where are the wheels coming from, might be able to get them back for you.

See you at the Rally Sprint at Truro!!!

Cheers guys.
The wheels are in Torquay (eastern VIC) and they are from a private seller. I think it will cost about $60 to get Greyhound Freight to do it. (thats what they quoted me anyhow.)
But if anyone is going near that area in the next month I would pay them the same. Just do a search on whereis.com.au to get a idea where Torquay is.

As for the rally, I might make it (I hope I will)
