Sadly my January 1993 build L series Sportswagon was written off in an accident on Saturday. I was not at fault which makes it equally frustrating. It had just 200k on the clock, I had plans to send it over 500k!!!!
Insurer has offered me $2,900 for it, what a joke, given that I really had no plans to sell it. It ticked over beautifully and always started first time.
Ive been offered $160 for the wreck if anyone wants to offer more?
Looking at a Forester now, under 150k, manual, what sort of price would I be looking at for this?
L Series
huh?
so the insurer is giving you 2900 but you want somone to make an offer over 160??

is there anything special about it? or just a standard wreck?

any idea what a forester, manual, under 150k would be worth?
anything in particular I should be looking for?
If an insurer, or anybody for that matter, has offered you a 4 figure amount for a smashed L series you should be jumping for joy!
If it's got lots of fruit on it and you think you can make more than that amount by wrecking it, then pay the $160 for the wreck and do that.
Another idea would be pay the $160 for the wreck, buy another stock L series in good condition, and swap all your mods into it and keep enjoying the car.
