Stalling annoyance (wrx)

hey ausubaru

ive got a little quirk with my wrx and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction to solve it.
basically i stalled the car at the lights (in peak hour) the other day, was just a little too quick with the clutch, but then the car wouldn't start again when i turned the key. almost as if i'd flooded it or something, just keeps turning over. after about 1 minute of trying it finally spluttered back to life. im thinking it could be something to do with the immobiliser or bigger fuel pump but not too sure.

it doesnt bother me too much because im an awesome driver who doesnt stall often at all, but would still like to know why its doing it.

unreliable bloody wrxs. i reckon immobiliser hey roy.

or maybe fuel filters or something

as AndrewT asked how often does this happen? when was the last time it had a really good service which included upper cylinder cleaner?

it could be a sticky injector (staying open and flooding the cylinder)

but it sounds to me Like it overfueled as it stalled and when you tried to restart it you flooded, it yeah I know it is injected but you can flood any petrol engine if you try (EA fords were brilliant at it)

When an EFI stalls, it can as Toonga said, flood

The ECU has a built feature that if you floor the accelerator while you turn the key, it assumes the engine is flooded and will adjust its mixture to make it easier to start.
As soon as the engine fires, immediately lift your foot off the accelerator and you should be on your way.

it has happened once before to me, i spose its not a regular occurence that i stall.

after simply turning the key and it not firing i did try pumping the accelerator, which didnt seem to change anything.

car is regularly served, and with UEC every time as i have like 5x spare cans in my shed!
fuel filter is also brand new.

maybe the ecu is broken and i need aftermarket management
