Parallel fuel feed mod

Post by Craigus » Sun Apr 16, 2006 7:22 am

Old hands may know about this one, but I hadn't seen it before today:

Here's the section of the website describing the modification:

Here's the bloke's main site:

Opinions :?: Would this be worth the trouble ?

Well, it would be my EJ20T running at around 17 psi with the RA computer ...

Still not convinced that it would be worth the bother though.

For stock 380 injectors...and no other attention to the fuel system(pump and reg) no not worth it......bigger injectors and pump is a diffrent story !

A reputable rally orientated person recently stated on a stock set-up you need to feed the 2nd in line firing injector(cylinder number 3....drivers side back) 3% more fuel than the rest to account for shitty manifold, fuel rail and header design that cause the said cylinder to expire first !

I have a parallel rait set-up in my car.....700cc inj, bosch motorsport pump, sard reg...... and lots of boost.

I would be doing it but have never seen how it was done and I was not about to pay someone $400 to do the job. Now I have pictures I'll be into it. I have an RS running 17psi. At this high boost level your almost maxing out the 380cc injectors and buy the time the fuel gets to tha last injector there is not enough fuel pressure to feed the injector properly to give it the best flow pattern posible. For the cheap expense of the mod and the expense for the rebuild of a donk I say GO FOR IT.
