First trip in my brumby up there. Was good fun! My engine is making a few 'extra' noises after giving it some weetbix up those dunes and getting bogged on the beach front..oh well...:???:

Yeah mate, 18lb, I was going to go 15lb but figured I'd see how it went first on the higher setting first then forgot all about it lol, sort of lucky because we had to drive about 30k's to the nearest servo.

Gotta dig up my old transfer hose and put 80lb in the spare, should bring them up to a more respectable 30lb each because the pump I have is so slooooooooooooooooow, same with Chrus's so we didn't bother with them.

Im actually thinking if I venture off the black stuff more often, investment in a "decent-portable-compressor" might be the go - not that i was worried about destroying those tyres cos they are rooted! ;)

.....80lb spare sounds like a cheaper option though....

Hi guys,

So we just got back, It was great. had a blast. The first day was shit cause we lost two cars and than in the avo half of the convoy went back to Perth. We still had some fun and the Blue WRX and Greg's brumby killed big landcrusers up dunes:D The night was ok, some of us slept in tents, some in there cars but over all it wasn't that bad. It rained a bit, paul got most of it, HAHAHA he have to have a late emergency fix of his sleeping tent LOL, The rest of us stayed quite dry. The next day was ok, some minor drizzle but then sunny as from 9-10am. Spent the day exploring the tracks. Had some nice hills and tracks up dunes that we had a blast going up and down:)

I'll post some pics once i get them from my girl friend camera:)

Yes well what a weekend.. Thanks heaps to everyone for a GREAT weekend :) Yes a while a little precipitation did bring a long night of very little sleep, it really didn't upset me too much

This was really the first time I've had my Brumby out and about on some sand hills and I must say I'm really happy with the old girl but can not wait until I can fit the EJ25 (SOHC) into her :p Greg's Brumby with the EJ22 was great and I think Guy is happy he pulled the trailer back out :)

Thanks Tom and Chris for coming out and having some fun but you really missed a good Sunday of exploring the tracks.. even if some of us were not willing to try the more adventurous ones

Well here's some more pics

Yeah Paul, 2.5 with that low down torque would make a huge difference in something so light, hoping my new box & turbo will let it get & stay on power a bit lower in the rev range, I think I need the lift blocks out of the front of a Fozza so I can put some higher springs in it, the front bumper held up much better this time even though it had plowed the sand as high as the top of the spotties :-D

Yeah Tom, I'm hoping for some awesome power with the 2.5

Let us know how that front diff goes.. I think that and a DCCD centre and your hatch will be a weapon
