Hi

Wondering if you guys can provide any guidance on upgrades that can be done on this engine. It is just a bit flat and underpowered?

Hi and welcome to the forum

Unfortunately you have a 2.0L engine which is gonna feel underpowered no matter what you do.

The later EJ engines have good intakes, AVLS (active valve lift system) and tuned headers so extracting more horsepower is a pretty hard task

Pod filters and cannon mufflers arent gonna do squat, except makes heaps of noise

I am seriously considering trading this vechicle.

Today I have seen a 2003 Impreza sedan WRX with 100k on the clock for $22000.

It appears to have had a good service history and is neat and tidy. I have not driven it. What should I look for and having limited knowledge are these motors fairly bullet proof?

I know someone who is a Subaru mechanic so if it gets serious I will get to give it a look over.
