Sounders/Fish Finders/Sonar/GPS Chart Plotter

Ok, so I dropped some dosh on a new boat, and whilst it is being built is the time to start shopping for all the shiny shiny accessories

Looking for a Sounder right now,

Looking at the Matrix 17 (Humminbird) which is $399 at BCF at the moment - has water temp, plus can get the cable to hook my Garmin eTrex up to it to get full GPS capability. I don't care about mapping really, just being able to drop a mark at good spots and get back there.

Any others to look at?

Also have a Garmin ff250 in mind, similar specs to Matrix 17... Can get one for $310 secondhand but brand spankers....

Sounds good mate. On my old mans boat we have a Matrix. Not sure on the modle but it has an in built weather station, GPS and dual cone coverage. That replaced the Navman 4000
