Fuel problem?
Fuel problem?
My wagon has a problem fuel i think when i step down on the peddle it starves for fuel but when i take my foot of and just give it about 1/4 gas it picks back up again,not much fun when you can only drive with the peddle 1/4 of the way down through gears it also does a similar thing if i tighten the fuel cap right up.She is a ea82t td04,vl turbo injectors and fuel pump,intercooler if that helps???.

Have you checked the fuel pickup line? Do you have a problem on flat surface? (Ive heard this problem but cannot remember what it is, it has been a thread about it in here a while ago..)

She does it on flat surface and up hills, i think i will put the old ea82t injectors back in it today change the fillter, blow air through all fuel line and maybe take the tank of and give it a clean out and if this does not fix the problem i will buy a new fuel pump as old one is pretty old.

Ok i pulled the tank out today,pulled out the injectors,fuel pump,filter and fuel regulator. Blown out all the lines with compressed air,fuel pump looks pretty old so going to buy a new one $80 for new vl turbo pump ebay getting injectors checked and cleaned tomorrow, new filter, i have a new adjustable malpassi fuel regulator i will put in instead of the old stock subie one, does anyone no what presser i set the regulator to for the vl injectors? hopefully with all that done, pretty much a new fuel system this surging problem will go away.

ok i took the injectors in today will have them back tomorrow told the guy about the problem and he said i should check my afm to see if its working?,does any one no how to check afm i have a multi meter but not sure what setting to put it on it has v-... 200m 2000 20 2000 1000 in one section V with a wave symbol 750 200 in another section,A-...200m 20m 2000 200 in an other section,10A-...in another section. oms i think that is the symbol 200 2000 20k 200k 2000k in another section and do i plug the positive red lead into 10A dc plug or VomsmA plug it has in little red writing 750w ac 1000v dc 200mA max? i just have never used one. Tomorrow i will have injectors back new fuel pump and filter to put in and regulator to put in it should be fixed.

If AFM was faulty you would find stalling problems or jerking feel while driving.
