We also have to install the fuel pump. I wanted to install it under the cab next to that fuel corner if you know what i mean. I wanted to know, Is that a good spot? Also when i upgrade to EFI fuel lines, do i only upgrade after the pump or even before?

Also any other tips, suggestions that would help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx guys:)
Are you talking about the high-pressure efi pump? If so it needs to be kept as low as safely possible, and preferably close to the tank. Only the line between the pump and the engine need to be rated to efi pressure, but the one before the pump should ideally be as large as the pump inlet. Without these conditions, the pump will likely cavitate (i.e. make lots of noise and eventually destroy itself).

A surge tank would be nice too, but plenty of people get by without them.

Or Calibra, or VR V8s, or some old BMWs or about a million other cars that also use that same pump.

Guyph are you going to be running a surge tank or not? If offroading it might be a piece of mind to install one, its not difficult and there are enough diagrams around to make one yourself.

I ran without one before I got an EFI rated fuel tank. The pump eventually died but I think it may have been from 'old age'. Just make sure you're running enough fuel in the tank at all times to avoid running the pump dry even for a few seconds.

Sounds like you've got it pretty much sorted!

yeah the brumby has been done 3 days before the lancelin offroad trip. I must say it did very well on the day and till now. Had no issues at all with it. It doesn't have a surge tank. I hope greg is going to keep a safe level in the tank. It be good if he is like my brother, haha, as soon as the gauge gets to 1/4 empty he stresses and can't drive a meter without filling it up. LOL. Im the total opposite, i only drive on reserve HAHA, nahhh, not that bad but yeah only fill up for long trip but for everyday driving fuel gauge never goes over the half mark lol.
