Are you talking about the high-pressure efi pump? If so it needs to be kept as low as safely possible, and preferably close to the tank. Only the line between the pump and the engine need to be rated to efi pressure, but the one before the pump should ideally be as large as the pump inlet. Without these conditions, the pump will likely cavitate (i.e. make lots of noise and eventually destroy itself).guyph_01 wrote:Hi guys,
We also have to install the fuel pump. I wanted to install it under the cab next to that fuel corner if you know what i mean. I wanted to know, Is that a good spot? Also when i upgrade to EFI fuel lines, do i only upgrade after the pump or even before?
Also any other tips, suggestions that would help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx guys:)
A surge tank would be nice too, but plenty of people get by without them.
