Help Wanted EJ22

Post by kiwigunner » Sun Nov 01, 2009 2:31 pm

Hello
I am after 2 EJ22's and was woundering if anyone know's where i can find the engine, i do not need gearboxes. But if I cant find the EJ22 i would settle for EJ18/20/25 etc. N/A would be better but turbo is fine under 80,000kms.

The engines will find thier ways into a homebuilt plane.

Try looking at the wreckers. I'm sure that since they're going in to an aircraft you'll have/be rebuilding them before use.

Cheers

The problem with that is, i have called most of the wreckers i can find information about and come up with a grand total of 0 subaru engines. The flat 4 design is damn near perfect for light planes, plus they are light...

if anyone knows of where i can get 2 engines from, let me know please.

Yep good quality EJ's are hard to find these days.

They appear on ebay every now and then.

Seen a few EJ18s on there

* WTB 1982-84 MY 4WD Wagon (Any Condition)

Anzac Avenue wreckers in Toowoomba had an EJ22 complete when I was last there. Still sitting in the car covered with the bonnet.

Ring Alljap. They are on Sandgate road at Virginia. They have got an EJ18, quad cam EJ20's, Ej20 turbo. There is about a dozen motors sitting there on the shelf. You can also try Allstate auto imports at Geebung. Not sure what they have just now though.
