HELP, timing mark reference on ea82t

Thanks for looking anyway all...ill borrow a subaru flywheel and make my own timing indicator
that way i can notch my harmonic balancer with small v markings and ill be good to finish the assembly on this brand new ea82 t...cheers

This may be a silly suggestion,.. but if you cant shine the timing light in the hole at the top of the flywheel, can you use a small mirror to reflect the light into there?

SCOOBI has this engine intended for a MANX if I am not wrong, it may just be impossible to even see the timing aperture if he had any corresponding timing marks on it.


SCOOBI PM me your mailing address and I can send you your very own flex plate off an auto EA82T with timing marks and timing belt install marks as well. Maybe you could adapt it to fit to engine side of your flywheel in use ?

Thanks anyway but the job is now done, i dont use the subaru bellhousing even,so there is no point shining a light there.
The adapter goes straight to the block..and this is the third conversion i have here.
Just wanted to know exactly where everything is,and now i do..cheers.

and you have shed a bit more light on the subject there SCOOBIDOO - the old 'no aperture to shine timing light' predicament [ :) sorry been watching Agents 86 & 99 ]

An update on the timing pointer for the front , never came from Japan, so figure no longer available
