Sorry for the early whore bumpty:

By the title of this thread it had me wondering - "wrecking Tasmania" - I was thinking of serious environmental damage from larger 4wd's or what you guys could be doing to help contribute :p

Its good to start a thread like this, we've done this in the vic section. The only problem is when there's a vehicle you really want to check out at a wreckers that you know you: a) can't get to anytime soon or b) can't afford to buy any parts...

Have fun with this thread. Drop us a PM if you want this deleted ;)

Cheers

I don't mind being the main post at the beginning that I can update every so often adding in everyones details. So instead of having a joint post that we can all edit (which I don't think we'll be able to do), I'll just edit it and members write in this thread what they want, but keep the template :D

Thoughts...

Shall be going to camdale wreckers tomorrow, check out some forrie rims for Fatz, but while I'm there I might look at fuel tanks, as my left one is badly dinged, lib s1 to s2 should swap ok? Much effort to pull these things out and install?

not much effort to drop old one out and replace.
drain fuel, drop diff dissconnect hoses in ones in drivers rear wheel archs, undo bolts, slide out, reverse operation to fit new one

!Need a left rear g1 s2 lib wagon door!
(kind of urgent)

Question - Do g1 s2 sedan doors swap straight over?
Wreckers might be able to help me out if so.

Hi all didn't want to start another forum topic, but I did see a brumby ute for sale yesterday at Oatlands. It was in a paddock facing the highway. Looked to be in good nick, red paintwork, sunraysia wheels and the split sunroof. Didn't have time to stop but I think they wanted $5,200. I couldn't get a phone number but if anyone is interested they could probably get someone from oatlands to check it out. The models with the split sunroof are reasonably hard to come by and if the forrester wasn't consuming my $ at the moment would probably grab it myself.
