wanky wagons first big run

Post by Alex » Sun Aug 17, 2008 11:35 pm

so, no less than a week after installing the new turbo motor i took the wagon about 350km away from home to the southern regions of wa.

i was very scared she'd use a bucketload of fuel, but she travelled 247km to busselton and used 23L of BP ultimate, and that was driving her hard, sitting on about 140km/hr the whole time...VERY IMPRESSED!

took her for a relatively easy 4x4, who said EJ20G has no torque out of boost! she pissed it in, rarely needing boost. Feels ALOT better than the old ej22.

sat on 1/6th temp the whole drive, both on and off-road, when i gave it death afew times in the soft stuff it boosted up to 1/4 temp, but never ever went over 1/4. happy again!

no funny noises, no broken gearboxes or cv shafts...YET and the motor is running absolutely perfect! beating afew commonwhores and the likes in the process!

heres sum pics from the weekend. enjoy.

PS caught a bucketload of herring :) and chopped the ghey ford explorer i went 4x4 with....he was too scared to scratch it haha. The surfy dudes also liked my reverse nuts in the carpark as well hahaha.
