You could say that it is just for the lefties among us I suppose, ( that's what you get when you just cut & paste things ) as it was like that from the original ... :o

I'll have to change that wont I ... ;)

Bantum, you may have a rising opponent, time to put the squeeze on Subaru Japan.

Pigs might fly ...

Post by Bantum » Tue Jan 20, 2015 10:38 pm

Yeah well pigs might fly, but I'll wait till it actually happens ... :p

I recon Subaru could build a XV-Ute fairly quick & will be better, lighter than that Hyundai thing + have 4WD to boot !

It's depressing the state of things, as it has come to 'shirt fronting' Subaru to do their work ...

Note : the larger one will need longer shaft ...

I may have stuffed up the offset, will have to wait until I've done the body to see how well it sits up against the fenders ...

Post by Bantum » Tue Apr 07, 2015 2:53 am

Thanks Bennie ... :D

Sorry should have said they are not my printers - they belong to 'The Edge' QLD State Library ... They have some other handy machines there too ... ;)

Those four 'Up's' are the main ones being used atm - they also have more in progress of being built ( 4 Prusa i3's ) plus a half dozen relics floating around the basement ...

I'm eventually going to build my own, reckon I can get it down to about $ 500 for all the bits required - just takes time to build it ... ;)

I've still got heaps more subi bits to recreate & print so they will be busy ...

In that print it looks like the printers isn't calibrated right. Needs more filament feed.

Testing ...

Post by Bantum » Fri Sep 25, 2015 12:33 pm

Printing it the wrong way round doesn't help either - that one was face down, while the others I have done face up ... :)

Also this was a 'fast' test print primarily to check if it works, so will eventually reprint them @ smaller layer interval with higher infill density, but it will take longer to print ... :(

It's a bit of trial end error on these things as I'm still learning how to use them ... :D

Ciao, Bantum ...
