Seriously what's so good about 1.19 low range that you'd go through all the effort of a manual conversion for?

Plus autos are pretty well proven to be awesome in sand.

Really only worth it in my opinion if you put in something like your L series gearbox.

Exactly what i was leaning towards too..
Hey Venom, could you check out my other Liftkit thread and post some details of your setup. thx

That Manual D/R box has NO low range..., maybe if i had a foz box but still a lot of f*cking around, pedal box, tail shaft, loom etc.... Ill get dave to wire it up for diff lock and also wire a 2wd/awd switch 'to save petrol' ;)

After loving driving an Automatic Liberty a lot and having to DD a manual car all I can say is go the Auto - so much better just getting about and still just as capable as a manual suby.

Plus you'll have that extra hand when offroad for holding your beer, ice coffee, pie or radio. :p

That silver lib is a very pretty vehicle indeed. Nice one!

Im all for the Manual.....anyone can do it the easy way :D. Auto's are "Auguably" a better gearbox for 4wding. Easier to control traction and wheel speed, no drive loss when shifting (very helpful in sand), as already said a free hand for miscellaneous functions and generally a bit more comfortable in traffic where it will most likely spend 90% of its life. Only advantage a manual has is better decent control, and the badge of a hard core 4wder ;).

Doug

Yes, Quite a few interesting points here. Although guys, keep in mind i do own a EJ25 AWD D/R box with Lseries Low range so yeah I know the feeling:) and as The car i'll never sell, MANUAL all the way!!!! lol
I think i'll just keep the lib auto and mod it as much as i can, gonna be less work:)

Now can someone help me figure out what ratio this car has? The code is TZ:02ZGCAA-CX

Well, you can say "work it out yourself" or simply "no" - as they say, if you don't want to and are feeling pressured always say no ;)

I'm thinking Guyph has a money pit he's not telling us about!!

So far the Outback shocks, the rear lower arms and the front 2pot brakes are on the car. While the brakes where out i had them machined and had a fresh set of pads fitted too:)

The leather interior from the outback was cleaned, and is gone in the Liberty with leather care products etc to try and revive them. Turned out quite well. Also added the leather arm rest and basically all the better bits from the outback. The carpet was cleaned as best as possible and i've gone over all the trim.

Still have to remove the old tint, struggling with that as the previous idiot riped the tint out without heating the glue so now the glass has glue all over it!!!

Also, i laid some wires to be able to, 1 disconnect ABS while 4wdiving and 2 turn 2wd and 4wd by the flick of a switch, well switches:p

I still don't have an engine, Its proving hard to find a good EJ22 for cheap..., but i'm still looking:)

I think you two need to work together on this project and put the whole KRudd/ JGillard thing to bed. It's a bit too Tony Grieg and Bill Lowry, the whole simmering passive aggression where there used to be nothing but pure man love.

I mean after all, with your combined skills I'm positive the end result will be a front bar of immense quality and strength, one that will suit the front end of my car, I mean our cars beautifully. 8-)

Guy- did you get my SMS photos?

Jayd- bringing back the love...
