Hi Guys,

Just starting a new thread for some of the non Subaru toys i will fool around with as from now. Every now and again a cheap bike, quad, scooter, buggy pops ups that needs repairs and i get them mainly for the fun of putting than back together and get them going again. Many of my friends don't understand as one week they come and there a new bike that needs a carby rebuilt and the next the bike has been sold and they don't understand that the fun i get out of it is fixing them and not as much riding them...

Although some toys like the boat and Jetski are still here and are quite a bit of fun riding them:)

The latest toy is this.... Suzuki Rf600R. Considering i have done maybe a max of 5-8hrs on scooters and 125cc dirt bikes, Its quite scary and intimidating:)
She runs but was dropped and needs a tidy up, new front tyre and get it over the pits...

The oil stains are at the guys house, not mine. No such mess at my place. I can't allow it as i rent the place... The white car is a BMW. Not really able to get one of those...

Never extremely high or else i would never be able to sell them again, Got to be realistic and sell them for the market value. Its just i buy only the best deals i can find:p

I think I can see someone getting their bike licence now...

I love your enthusiasm and your ability to see the potential in things that others see as junk. I hate it when I see what's gone to the scrap heap!

Keep up the good work - if it's a hobby that makes you some money on the side I don't see an issue with that!

Cheers

Don't do it............. I was riding a hire scooter 2 days ago in Hau Hin Thailand and came a guts-er, I was really lucky I landed on a hedge in the median strip and just copped a few scratches and bruises, scraped the guard and side of the scooter pretty bad lol, (arse end stepped out as I was doing a U turn on a really busy main road, got a feeling the throttle jammed cos it wouldn't stop) I thought the hotel/bike owner would rip me a new arse but I remembered I brought a scourer with me so I ran up stairs and grabbed that and some toothpaste and got a fair bit out, I said how much you want and he said make an offer, I offered him 500b ($15ish) and he was happy ;) I was expecting him to say at least a couple of thousand B as it was a nearly new scooter.

P.S. Go for it, I've made thousands over the years doing what you are, especially on Subi's, it's a shame the arse has dropped out of the marked over the past couple of years.

It's amazing I came out of Vietnam without getting hit. It's very hectic!
Though I was on my mates pitbike, going down the road, to a couldersack. This was all on a big hill going down it. Slowing down turned the wheel and slid out. Must have locked the back!
I walked away with a few scratches, a bruised ego and only broke his front brake handle.
I won't do that again!

Cheers Cam

Little update,

The damage plastic on the bike was painted, Front steering arm bearing replaced, carbs rebuilt, new battery and general TLC and then the bike was passed over the pits and then sold...

That's some pretty mad work man.

I'd have left it naked personally, but that's just my personal preference. Looks schmick!

What'd you get for it without being rude?

Haha it looked very tough as a naked bike!

Cheers, Stretch.

Hi guys,

Ok so for us winter is nearly over, and i'm gonna race this summer:) Unfortunately the white ski is for sale and i'll be keeping the grey one. Yes its got less mods but its more reliable and i prefer it that way. Although, as they were both here i stole the 12 vein pump and the aftermarket 'launch' system (not sire how its called) to install them on the grey ski:)

I also made and added a jerry can holder to the trailer and a alu storage box that will be handy

And finally copied from what was on the white ski, glued some rubber to hold my foots a bit better.
