My Touring Wagon EJ25 build, Part 2

Post by guyph_01 » Mon Aug 01, 2011 4:07 pm

Hi Guys,

Well some of you know by now that i may have lost Part1, the EJ22 build thread for my L-series:( Hopefully the mods will be able to get them back:)

Anyway, I'll start this thread as part2. In a way its appropriate as the car will be getting a complete make over with a new engine, gearbox, suspension and much more:)

The base car is a 89 DARK Gun Metal Grey ( yes Paul, you wish yours was as dark as mine:p) L Series Touring wagon. I bought the car on the 13/05/09 Unlic, standard as a rock apart for the 14 inch sunrasia's In a very very sad state. Engine was dead, didn't want to fire, broken tail gate glass and very very dirty.

I then modded it with a EJ22, a 3inch lift kit, rear wheel carrier, 15inch rims, Bumper replacement Bullbar and some roof lights.
I had a blast in the car, went on most off-road trips with the WA crew until early April 2011 on my last trip with the car where i completely sheard off my 4wd gears with my ' Ken block' driving style... Ouppps.
A huge thx to Paul for getting my baby back home safely:)

Since i Have decided it was time for more POWER:mrgreen:
So i bought a front cut:)
Details are:
Outback with ej25 N/A Quad cam.
Model:BH905AE
Engine num:EJ254DXDBE
Chassis num:BH9-061735
AUTO Trans num: TZ1B4ZKDAA
We think its a 01-02 Gen3 model

This is the list of mods that hopefully will be done to the car. I'm sure i'm gonna add more stuff

- EJ25 N/A quadcam with AVCS heads, engine code EJ254DXDBE and it's from a 2002 Subaru Lancaster (Outback)
- Custom AWD box made of a 92 AWD D/R liberty box, changed to 4.11 ratio, with the L series low range gear and a DCCD rear end
- 4.11 Rear LSD diff
- 5 Stud conversion
- 16 inch forester mags with 215/65/16 on them
- Custom twin rear Wheel carrier
- 2 inch lift kit with 3 inch front stut tops
- New front King raised outback springs
- New rear 2WD KYB shock with honda civic springs
- Sti front bucket seats
- Gen2 Lib center console

Will surely add the other stuff after:p

I wish I had photoshop on my mac right now - If I did I'd have an "artistic impression" of what the end build will look like

Is this going to end up like TOONGA's build thread? 1000 replies, 3 useful?!

Cheers
