Mystery Trip 23rd-24th August

DESTINATION: It's a Mystery

TRIP LEADER: Jan K 0404459610

ACTIVITIES PLANNED: This is a Mystery trip with plenty of dirt roads and country side to enjoy along the way, Camping at a free camp ground there is toilets and Gold coin showers A slight change of plans there will be a $8 camping fee with toilets and showers on site
We will be having dinner at a country pub that is owned by a TV and sport star (That's the only hint you get) so no need to bring dinner I heard the food is great. We will be doing a lot of driving so bring munches along. Don't forget to bring nibbles and a few drinks for happy hour while sitting around the camp fire after dinner. We will be picking up some wood along the way for the fire

DATE: Sat 23rd -- Sun 24th August

MEETING PLACE: Kenmore McDonnalds next to Kenmore Tavern

DIRECTIONS: Moggill Rd Kenmore

TIME: 7:30 am leaving 8:00am on the dot

RATING: Easy Standard Foresters & Outbacks welcome no standard cars (Your too low)

DISTANCE: 500 km

FUEL: Available

WATER: Available

DOMESTIC ANIMALS: no

PERMITS REQUIRED: No


WHAT TO BRING: Camping Gear Supplies And Warm Clothes

RECOVERY GEAR: Required On All 4WD Trips

That sounds good Jan :) Gary said he has an idea who owns the pub ;)

BUT... It's my Dads birthday on the 23rd so I might have to do some negotiation so that we can come along on the trip :)

Today i did a bit of a recce (reconnaissance) of part of the mystery tour that i was a bit unsure about it's all good :D
Well i can't wait now, I am really looking forward to it, If you were thinking about giving the car a bit of a run bite the bullet you will love it i guarantee

Finally managed to wash the Forester today - so much mud!!!

It took about 2hrs just to do the outside - that included taking each of the tyres off and cleaning the wheel arches etc.

Looks like an awesome trip yarn.

Will the subie club be doing the same trip this year...

Want to do some trips with the club, waiting for Bub to get a bit older and to put ats tyres back on...hopefully next month.
