Quick question for anyone who may be able to help.
I have an l series wagon with ej22m but motor has sized.
Can I do a simple swap and put in an ej22e motor ?
Anything different in the wiring or computer ?
Any help much appreciated

Check the main engine plugs. One might be a two, the other might be three.
Other than that I think they're pretty similar?

Pretty much just the year of manufacture. I would just use the long motor and bolt your manifolds on it.

Yes the new motor has two main engine plugs where as the old ej22m has three.
Is it ok to use three plug on the new motor by swapping the main part of the loom off the old? Or do I need to modify the wiring to use the two plugs?
Any advise much appreciated
Cheers

From memory, you can change the engine harness over but I think the injectors are different. I would still recommend you use just the long engine and put your manifolds on it, you'll only need to buy 2 inlet manifold gaskets (other than what you would normally need to swap the engines over) and I highly recommend you check the timing belt or replace now, as it's a lot easier when the engine is out.

from memory the extra engine plug is purely for earthing.
