Post by rtcb65 » Mon Apr 04, 2011 9:16 am

Yep, Another Subaru has joined the family. Ross's gen1 has moved on to another family member. Now to transfer the stuff from the gen 1 that he wishes to keep and make this gen 2 his.

Can't wait to see what goodies go into this prime looking gen2 :)

What are the plans Rick?

Jeez, I'd be into that and exchange those old wheel trims for some decent alloys real quick... How quick? Like YESTERDAY man...

Actually, it WAS done so quick it DID happen yesterday. LOL (along with springs, struts and lift)

Damn, this means I'll have to whip up a schmicko nudge bar for it too...
Steve.

Not quite that far yet. If all goes well, the lift and springs will go in tomorrow.

Now we are that far. Body lift and new king springs are now in. At this point , it has a Crossbred Performance 2 inch lift kit , 15's with road tires and 2wd rear towers . Vlsd and gearbox with L series low range is going to be transfered to the gen 2 . Other than that. Haven't worked out what is going to happen as yet. Yes , it does need a wheel alignment .

Car looks good, very familiar actually :)

HEy Dibs,

As the local boys in blue call us, the blueby boys , has sort of gone out the window. The effort has gone into setting up and bringing them up to standard, from there previous owners . Instead of worrying about there color . As Ross says, it is blue to him in his heart. LOL.

She now has plates on her. Next things to do , L Series low range box and a vlsd. Which we are hoping to have done over the next couple of weeks. Then it will be a case of get a head of all the maintenance Eg, new timing belt, water pump , cam seals , new internals in oil pump, etc.

Hey Bennie,

They are growing on us as well. Now that the whole family has one each , we are starting to get a handle on them, sort of. One of the best things about them is, not much to do to them as they all ready have the items standard. Eg, electric windows, power mirrors, etc. Well the GX model anyway.

A little update. The nudge bar has been removed from the Gen 1 and now put on the Gen 2 . We think it looks better on this one than on the Gen 1 .
