Rick's Outback

Post by rtcb65 » Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:56 pm

The same day we went and brought home Ross's Liberty, we actually brought home 2 Subaru's. This one is mine. It is a Gen 2 outback. There are a couple of things that need attention, that is half the fun. Learning new stuff.

Thanks Venom, I'm not going to go to made with this one. Just give it a little more clearance , change out the auto to manual, clean up the clear coat that is coming off and or change the top colour to blue. If i go blue on the top, not sure to stay the silver on the bottom , or go a gun metal gray.

Very nice Rick.. have you got any more info on it? auto/manual? kms? etc

I'd love a blue manual one :) and would love a front bar like yours

Sweet! Sounds like you boys are onto something good up there! What an upgrade.

Will there be a change of wardrobe to go with the upgrade in vehicles? Sounds like you won't know yourselves!

Cheers

"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

What is your reason for not painting it blue or is blue just not one of the colours you don't like ? The reasons why i was thinking of paint it blue is , 1: blue seems to be our trade mark colour, 2: the colour that is on it is the rusty brown red. I am not that fussed on it.

As my signature reads, the out back has GT forester rims on it . The pic i put on at the start only has forester steel wheels . So i thought i would put up pics that show my signature is right. LOL.

Awesome.. not a problem..
Problem is, it has 3.9 diff in it, not 3.7 which the outback has..
Projectors are good upgrade but not ideal for country driving FYI.

The 3.9 isnt a prob. I am putting a vlsd in the back and have 3.9 gears to put in it. Thanks heaps for the warning though. If i hadnt have though of it , i may have had a mess on my hands.

Nice one Rick.

I know you wont know yourself, You have just done what I did allmost six years ago, I went from my old Green MY83 wagon to a gen3 RX Liberty wagon, Its a big change and a hole lot more room and a whole lot nicer to drive.

I allways liked the gen 2 outbacks in blue, and I would think twice about swapping the auto, I did not like mine at first but have changed my mind now, after seeing how far offroad it will go.

Rik.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Im now all grown up to an outback with a 2" lift and outback struts, ready to go off road and take on the world.
