We have had a bit of a shuffle with this liberty. We know have another one. This one has dropped down a generation to lea's daughter. The other one is now lea's.

As far as the progress goes,We got a Awd tank and it is now in ( thanks Grant ) and all the stuff that goes with it to make the awd tank work the way it is ment to.

The white one is still slowly moving forward.

Lea now has her liberty on the road. As stated a couple of posts ago, we got another liberty and the white has dropped down a generation. Here is a pick of Lea's lib.

A few of the bolt on's were not up to scratch. A friend had a couple of doors that we got off him ( thanks jeff ) , and the guards off the white liberty and the bumpers off the white one. So we are prepping them ready to go on the red one . This way, there is small down time with the car.

A little more done . Doors, guards and bumpers are done . Just have the final sand back to do. Just have to paint the mirrors and clear coat them.

Pulled half of the parts off today that are going to be replaced. Got most of the removed items replaced. We are going to wait for the clear to set for at least a week before giving the final 1200 sanding.

The liberty has been back together now for a week . Give or take. So thought it was time to start making the suspension a little better . It now has King springs all round. Also an alarm and key less entry.

Auto is out, tomorrow we will replace rear main seal and hope to get it all back together. Steve done some mods on the auto computer. Made a gen 2 auto computer mount up to where the gen 1 mounts. That way there is no zip ties or just have the computer bounce around , or anything like that.

Gearbox is in and have to agree with V.V. , the gen 2 computer didn't work the gearbox in the gen1. But the gen1 computer is working the gen2 box so far.

A bit more experience is being learnt. It is now time to pull an Ej down and learn about them. One day the engine got alittle hot and found bubbles in the radiator. Out it came and apart she went.

Heads refaced, new head gaskets, new head bolts, tappet cover gaskets. Then new cam seals, new rear main seal, new water pump, new oil pump. Then to finish it off, new timing belt and pulleys and tensioner. We are half way to having it done.

It looks likes our first play with doing up an E.J.22 was successful . So far anyway. Got it all together and it started to rattle ( in older cars, the lifter tick ) . Turns out to be the lash adjusters were gummed up. So off the cams came and they were cleaned up and put back in. Sound went away. With the price of new ones. We cleaned the old ones.
